A CRUDE biscuit dish made by Russell Brand was a mass turn-off for The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.
More than 600,000 viewers switched when he came up with a vagina-shaped tribute to wife Laura Gallacher giving birth to his second daughter, eight-month-old Peggy.
It featured representations of sperm and placenta, four figures in a birthing pool — and Brand, 43, looking on in the role of the “wise old man”.
But the Tuesday night audience plummeted from 3.7million to 3.1million. Viewer Michele Paul tweeted: “Russell Brand should be banned from saying ‘vagina’ forever. His past as a sexist creep is not redeemed by paternity. Ugh.”
The creation went down better with judges, who made him star baker ahead of actor John Lithgow, comic Jon Richardson and Paralympian Hannah Cockroft.
Paul Hollywood exclaimed: “I’ve never heard of a biscuit quite like it.”
Prue Leith questioned the number of biscuits used but Russell said: “I know you wanted 24 Prue, but would you take a glance at those labia and tell me it’s not adequate?”
She called it “a celebration of womanhood”.
