Emmerdale fans in tears as Chas Dingle reveals she’s pregnant after heartbreaking loss of baby Grace

EMMERDALE viewers have been left sobbing with happiness after Chas Dingle revealed she is pregnant.

The Woolpack landlady - who is played by actress Lucy Pargeter in the ITV soap - lost her baby Grace just hours after her birth last year.

Little Grace had bilateral renal agenesis which meant she wouldn't survive for very long outside of the womb, but her brave parents Chas and Paddy decided to give birth and donate her organs so other sick babies could live.

In last night's special all-female episode of the soap, made for International Women's Day, Chas shared her happy news with Laurel Thomas.

Laurel was laying flowers at her late baby son Daniel's grave when Chas spotted her and shared the touching news.

She thanked Laurel before explaining: "Before she was born, you probably don't remember but you said that I's surprise myself and feel strength when I least expected it.

"You were right and it's a big surprise."

She added to a confused Laurel: "I probably shouldn't say but hey, it didn't make any difference last time.

"I was late, I didn't feel any sickness or anything so I ignored it but I finally made myself do a test this morning and it was positive. I'm pregnant."

Viewers were in tears at the touching scenes and took to Twitter to share their emotions.

One wrote: "Chas being pregnant has got me in tears #Emmerdale"

A second said: "I’m a little tooooo happy that Chas is pregnant again! #Emmerdale"

Another added: "Awwwwww Chas. Happy tears, I swear #Emmerdale"
