Emmerdale bosses have promised that the storyline involving pervert teacher Maya Stepney and her boyfriend’s son Jacob Gallagher will come to a proper conclusion.

Is Maya Stepney leaving Emmerdale?
There’s been no official statement from Emmerdale or Louise Clein - who plays twisted Maya - about her leaving the ITV soap but it has been revealed that the storyline will be tied up properly.
Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks has hinted that Maya could be facing prison for her grooming of teenage Jacob.
She revealed the evil teacher will be dealt with properly because the soap has a responsibility to play the story out "responsibly".
Speaking to the Metro, Kate said: “We’ve got a responsibility. A lot of people watch the show, a lot of teenagers watch the show, and also we would never just tell one of these stories lightly. We have a duty to make sure the right protocol is carried out, and the right outcome.
"It can make for uncomfortable viewing but I think it’s a really important storyline to tell."
She added: "There’s still a long way to go, it’s not going to be as straightforward as you’d imagine, there’s going to be other obstacles thrown into the mix.
"We want people to be yelling at the TV 'please tell somebody. This is not right! You’re a young lad. please speak out about this.'”
Whatever happens, Maya’s days in the village are numbered.
What will happen to Maya when David finds out?
David Metcalfe will obviously be heartbroken and furious when he finds out his girlfriend has been having an illegal affair with his teenage surrogate son, but David probably won’t do more than call the police.
It’s Jacob’s biological mother Leyla Harding who Maya needs to be wary of as she will no doubt rip Maya to pieces when she discovers the teacher has been abusing her only child.
Emmerdale fans have called for sick Maya to be killed off.
And they might just get their way when Leyla finds out she’s been sexually abusing Jacob.
