The hunky actor particularly impressed with his cream horn, with viewers desperate to munch on it, despite his creations falling apart in the oven after he over-lubricated his equipment.
He popped them in the oven the wrong way up and they slid off after he spent a while lubricating the instruments with butter, sending viewers wild.
One wrote: "Regardless of how @russelltovey cream horn turns out, I want it. #GBBO."

Another added: "I definitely need Russell Tovey’s Cream Horn."
Tovey also sent viewers wild by talking about his lubricating butter on his cooking accoutrements but some couldn't cope with his innuendos.

Others hailed Tovey as the new silver fox in the Bake Off tent and said he even rivalled Paul Hollywood.
