TRACY Metcalfe finds herself in trouble with the law in Emmerdale next week when she’s arrested after defending love interest Billy Fletcher from a racist parent at school.
Tracy – played by Amy Walsh in the ITV soap - and Billy are doing a good deed as they agree to pick little April Windsor up from school and wait for her in the park.
As Tracy heads off to pick them up some coffee, Billy is feeling the pressure about his upcoming job interview.
When he spots April, he tries to get her attention, but the police approach him and tell him they’ve had a report that he’s been acting suspiciously.
Billy – Dales newcomer Jay Kontzle - tries to keep his cool, but is convinced racism is behind the report. Tracy furiously confronts the parents in front of a confused April.
Tracy flies off the handle and finds herself being read her rights leaving Billy mortified as he wanted to keep the whole incident under wraps.
It’s not long before word gets out in the village and Billy’s mum, Jessie Grant, opens her heart to new husband Marlon Dingle about the prejudices she and her boys have faced during their lives.
Meanwhile Billy is rattled that everyone knows what happened and ends up shoving his brother, Ellis, up against a wall, not realising that Tracy has seen his violent outburst.
Will their fledgling romance be over before it’s even really started?
Poor Tracy deserves some luck in her love life after finding out her husband David Metcalfe had cheated on her with pal Leyla Harding last year.
