MAYA Stepney is currently at the heart of a huge storyline in Emmerdale as she is grooming and abusing her boyfriend David Metcalfe’s teenage son, Jacob Gallagher.

Who plays Maya Stepney in Emmerdale?
Maya Stepney is played by actress Louisa Clein.
Louisa joined the cast of the ITV soap in 2018 when she was introduced as the wife of village GP Liam Cavanagh.
But their marriage wasn’t a happy one and Maya soon began to bond with her pupil Jacob Gallagher’s dad, David Metcalfe – who was having his own marital issues.
The pair got close and Maya moved in with David and Jacob. But isn’t wasn’t long before Jacob admitted he had a crush on her.
And things escalated quickly from there, with Maya recently shocking fans by confessing she is in love with the schoolboy.
Louisa’s life away from the Dales is – thankfully – a lot less shocking. According to her Twitter feed, she’s a Spurs fan. Her elder sister is also a famous cello player.
Louisa is a vegan and she’s real life mates with Judge Rinder.
Who is Louisa Clein dating in real life?
In real life Louisa is happily married to a barrister called Jeremy Brier.
Not only is Jeremy a legal eagle, but he’s also a writer and stood as the Conservative candidate for Luton North in the 2010 election.
Louisa and Jeremy have three children together.

Louisa is no stranger to acting and trained at The Drama Centre in London.
Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan all trained there too.
Her first TV role was in Judge John Deed – also starring Martin Shaw - where she played the judge’s daughter Charlie.
She also starred in Holby City between 2016-2017, playing Kim Whitfield, a drug addict who was later jailed after trying to defraud a company.
