Channel 5 recommissions Celebs On The Farm for a second series – and it’s coming back this summer
The show is back for another series this summer
CHANNEL 5 recommissions Celebs On The Farm for another series and will hit our screens this summer.
The reality series launched last year and quickly became cult viewing, following the likes of Megan McKenna and Louie Spence as they learnt the ropes of life on a working farm.
Speaking to The Sun Online, a source revealed the new season is set to be “bigger and better” than ever before.
“Producers have really gone all out to secure some very exciting celebs,” the source teased.
“Some aren’t going to know what hit them when they have to do a few of the challenges. The series is definitely going to be bigger and better than last year for sure.”
In case you missed out on last year’s series, the show sees eight celebs as they learn the ropes and (literally) muck in while staying on a farm.
While it hasn’t been confirmed that the show will be heading back to the same place as before, there will be plenty of fields, animals and (incredibly) early starts to keep the celebs on their toes.
Last year’s series was won by Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Gleb Savchenko, who beat the likes of Towie star Bobby Norris and Olympic athlete Asheley McKensie to the title.
The 35-year-old could barely contain his emotions as he was announced the winner of the reality show.
Gleb had proved a dab hand at the country lifestyle and was awarded a coveted rosette by the farm bosses for his stellar performance on the milking challenge on the show.

Also mucking out in the Sussex countryside was actress Lorraine Chase, Pineapple Dance Studios star Louis Spence and reality stars Charlotte Dawson, Megan McKenna, and Sandi Bogle.
Sandi was axed from the show after she had a go learning to drive a tractor, and she admitted: “It ain’t easy babes. The farmers make it look easy but once you jump up there it is so hard.”
Speaking after her shock exit, Sandi admitted: “I'm a bit emotional, but that’s the way these things go.
“It has been an amazing experience. The fields, the animals - the atmosphere is an amazing place to come. It has been a pleasure for me to come and I thank farmer Chris for allowing me to come and have this experience.”
