Towie’s Chloe Sims confirms she IS dating Dan Edgar as she speaks for the first time about their relationship
CHLOE Sims has confirmed her relationship with Dan Edgar is ON - and it's more than just a holiday fling.
The Towie legend has spoken exclusively to The Sun Online for the first time about the shock romance since it was revealed last week.
It follows a dramatic episode on Sunday night when Chloe was left in floods of tears when she feared her relationship was over before it even began.
But we can reveal the pair haven't been put off by concerned friends and family.
“Me and Dan are just seeing how it goes", Chloe revealed.
"We have grown close over four years of friendship.
“We’re just spending time together.
"The idea that it was a holiday fling in Thailand made it sound cheap! I am not a fling type of girl and I wouldn’t cry my eyes out about a fling. There s a lot of mutual respect there.
"We are not going to put any pressure on it or ourselves as the biggest thing for us both is that we were friends.
"It is really important for me to stay friends with him and not damage our friendship."
In Sunday night's episode, Dan appeared to be backing off after hearing Chloe's cousin Joey Essex was against the idea of them becoming an item.
Dan - who previously dated Rio Ferdinand's fiance Kate Wright - recently split with on/off girlfriend Amber Turner who is said to be furious about him romancing Chloe.
Viewers were left on the edge of their seat as the teaser for next week showed an uncertain future for the lovebirds.
But setting the record straight about her love life, Chloe, who looked closer than ever with Dan at celeb hotspot Sheesh in Essex last night, said she was willing to take the risk with him despite all the family drama.
She said: "Joey was one of the first people I spoke to. I get that he feels a certain way about it, but I wouldn’t stand in the way of someone’s happiness.
"Unfortunately with the families in Essex that’s what they’re like, they do step in.
"Now I wish I was from a family up north or something. They’ve got a different way of dealing with things."
Chloe and Dan were all over each other as they partied at the series launch last night with friends.
They were inseparable for most of the evening as they whispered in each other's ears and leaned against one other at the bar.

";He is like a walking God isn’t he," Chloe gushed.
"He has got a bad reputation, but he’s been in relationships before.
"I have known him to be really loyal in relationships.
"Obviously he gets loads of girls when he is single and that's fine.
"Who wouldn’t fall in love with Dan Edgar?"
