Britain’s Got Talent will return on 6 April, reveals judge David Walliams
The judge revealed the start date of the ITV talent show, which marks Ant McPartlin's return to TV
DAVID Walliams has confirmed that the new series of Britain's Got Talent will return on Saturday 6th April.
The 47-year-old comic, who is a judge on the show, confirmed the news to his 1.3 million Instagram followers, alongside a picture of him with his fellow BGT stars.
David wrote: "I have no idea what I am pointing at but @bgt is back on @itv on Saturday 6th of April."
However, he later changed it simply to say that it would be back "soon", perhaps after getting a call from ITV saying he'd blown the announcement.
The caption accompanied an image of Britain's Got Talent judges David, Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon, plus presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
The Geordie pair take centre stage in the promo shot, heralding Ant's much anticipated return to TV after he stood down from all work in March.
The 43-year-old star was fined £86,000 after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving after causing a three-car collision in West London last March and hasn't presented on screen since.
David's post sent fans into a frenzy, with one commenting: "So freaking excited!! I bet Simon missed you like crazy!!"
Another added: "Yess only a week away, I can’t wait to see my favourite Judges and all the talent again!!"
The announcement comes shortly after a trailer for the 13th series was released, showing Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon taking part in an unorthodox orchestra.
