Inside The Bay star Morven Christie’s home with gothic furniture, huge TV and guitars

MORVEN Christie might be known for playing straight-laced cop Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong in ITV's The Bay, but by the look of her artsy home it seems the actress couldn't be more different.

The 37-year-old seems to really have an eye for detail as shown in a variety snaps that she's shared of her stunning pad on her social media.

Morven's most recent snap of her brand new armchairs is a prime example of the star's funky funiture, with them taking pride and place in front of some huge bay windows.

"I found some scabby Ercol chairs on eBay, figured out how to best make them look like a goth neon acid trip, and sent them to boss @bobbinandfleckupholstery to make it real," the actress revealed on Instagram.

And The Bay star's love of unusual art doesn't stop their either, as the house also features a giant painting of a stag above the quaint fireplace in the living room.

The rest of the living room appears fresh and neutral, with plenty of details that show off the actress's taste and personality, such a a furry rug, chrome accessories and even a guitar.

Morven first gave fans a glimpse into her home in June last year, when she snapped a picture of her boyfriend playing the guitar in one of the rooms.

The property has rustic wooden flooring and features a mixture of personal and vintage touches.

Another personal touch the actress has added to her home is the cinema room, as the huge television and blackout blinds allow her to catch up and enjoy the latest shows in peace.

Meanwhile, it's clear that thoughts of Morven's character Lisa aren't too far away as she revealed that she stole the first slate from director Lee Haven Jones as she propped it up on  her sofa in a cheeky snap.

"I was too busy faffing with plastic gloves and howling with @chanelkcresswell to get a pic of the first slate, so I stole this from our lovely director @leehavenjones," she explained.

Morven will return as Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong in The Bay on ITV tonight at 9PM.
