CORRIE fans were heartbroken when Rana Habeeb died in the factory collapse on her wedding day to Kate Connor.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, the residents want answers about what happened. So who is responsible for the accident, will anyone go to prison for it and was Rana’s death manslaughter? Let’s find out…
Who was responsible for the factory roof collapse in Coronation Street?
Lots of people have a part to play in the tragic Underworld roof collapse. Carla Connor knew it was dodgy but didn’t get it fixed.
The dodgy roof could even be traced back to dead serial killer Pat Phelan who did the original patch-up job.
But the real culprit, as some fans had speculated, was Gary Windass who left a confession voicemail for Sarah after he was kidnapped and tortured by loan shark Rick Neelan earlier this week.
But after realising Carla had stolen Sarah's phone and she hadn't heard his confession, he broke into Carla's hospital room to take the phone so no-one would ever hear what was on it.
His cruel actions, sabotaging the factory roof to try and create more work for himself saw Rana killed on her wedding day to Kate Connor.
The death has had tragic consequences across the cobbles with Carla Connor suffering a psychotic breakdown over her feelings of guilt over it all.

Is Rana Habeeb’s death manslaughter?
We don’t know at the moment.
The police told Nick, Carla and Gary that they could be facing charges of manslaughter if it’s discovered that they knew about the roof being unsafe.
Manslaughter is defined as ‘the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or in circumstances not amounting to murder’ so it’s possible that Rana’s death could fall in this category.
