Will Joe Tate return to Emmerdale and what has Graham Foster said about his death?
He’s been alive all this time but when will viewers see him back in the village?
EMMERDALE fans were left stunned when Joe Tate was revealed as being alive after seemingly being murdered by Graham Foster back in October 2018.
But where has Joe been all this time and is he going to come back for Debbie Dingle who he was planning to marry. Let’s find out…
Will Joe Tate be coming back to Emmerdale?
In a word, no. According to Andrew Scarborough who plays Graham Foster in the ITV soap, there is no way Joe will return to the village.
And who can blame him? He’s currently living the life of Riley on Kim’s money in the ultimate playboy’s playground. Who would swap that for the drizzle and sheep of Emmerdale?
That’s not the reason though. Andrew explained: “The reason why Graham was very upset when Joe seemingly died is because he knew then that he would never see Joe again."
He added: "I always knew Joe was still alive and was getting tired of being asked all the time, and being accused of murder!
"Kim ordered Graham to bump off Joe but when Cain thought he’d killed him, Graham saw an opportunity to cover up his own cover up.
"He let Joe go, but when you saw Graham with the gun it was to protect him so he could get away safely, but he reckoned if Kim returned she might hear on the grapevine Cain was up for murdering Joe to deflect attention from Graham."
But with Debbie Dingle leaving the village later this year as actress Charley Webb goes off on maternity leave, we don’t think we’ve seen the last of Joe just yet.
What did Graham Foster tell the police about Joe?
After being pushed too far by Kim Tate – who told him she planned blackmail Cain into sex – Graham made the decision to take matters into his own hands.
We’re not sure what he told them yet but he was seen arriving at the police station and telling them he had information over the disappearance of Joseph Tate.
Where is Joe Tate in Emmerdale?
Viewers were devastated in October 2018 when it looked like fan favourite Joe Tate had been murdered by Graham Foster – the man who was like a father to him.
But it was revealed in March 2018 that Joe was actually alive and has been living in Monte Carlo all this time, helped by Graham.
Joe’s fate was revealed after Kim Tate realised money was being withdrawn from one of her accounts and hired a private detective to find out where the money was going.
The PI returned with photos of Joe at an ATM on the French Riviera. Kim has since threatened to get someone else to finish of the job of killing Joe, but Graham Foster has – for now – convinced her that Joe won’t be coming back and is no threat to her.
