DANI Dyer has revealed her mother named her after dad Danny to stop other women from having children with him.
The Love Island champion was stunned when she found out her mum, Joanne, gave her the same name as her dad because she wanted to "get in their first" in case other women had a family with the 41-year-old actor.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air tomorrow night, the 22 year old said: "Basically, my dad was a little bit of a playboy when he was younger.
"They got together when they were 14, had me at 19, he was a young actor and wanted to have fun.
"My mum was like, ‘If he wants to get with another woman, and have a baby, she knows how women think, if they had a son, she’d call him Danny’ so she got in there first.
"So my mum was like, ‘I’m going to call her Dani so no other woman can do it.’"
Dani insisted her mother's mentality has rubbed off on her.
She continued: "I was like, ‘Mum, you think that far ahead? No wonder I’m the same as you!’”
Joanne and Danny have two other children together, Sunnie and Arty.
The couple started dating in 1992, but when Dani was three years old the pair split.
But Danny has admitted during their break up he missed his family and they soon rekindled their romance.
Speaking previously to The Sunday Times Magazine, the hard man said: "I don’t know if Joanne saw how much I missed them, but the visits started getting longer and we’d sit down with a cup of tea.
"Next minute... we’re having an affair. I said: 'F*** this! We’re sneaking around like schoolkids. We've got a beautiful girl. Let’s give it a go.'"
Danny and Joanne did exactly that and got back together, and in 2016 they married.
Speaking on the show, Dani insisted that shrinks and chiefs were on call to help Love Island stars — amid claims of no support for reality stars.
The 23-year-old said: “I have 100 per cent had that. Producers have always been a phone call away.”
Dani said that after her win last year, the ITV2 shrink urged her: “Please ring me whenever.”
But she tells ITV’s Jonathan Ross tonight: “It’s tough going from being no one to coming out as someone. I know from other Islanders — we’ve had struggles.”

Ex-stars Mike Thalassitis, 26, and Sophie Gradon, 32, killed themselves.
Meanwhile, Dani's relationship with Jack Fincham is going from strength to strength after the pair briefly split last year.
The couple recently enjoyed a romantic holiday to Thailand, and during their trip they continued to post a string of pictures of them cosied up to one another as they packed on the PDA.
