Emmerdale spoilers: Maya Stepney to groom second teen in desperate attempt to make Jacob Gallagher jealous
The paedophile teacher will attempt to rile up her teenage lover by getting close to his classmate Noah Dingle
EMMERDALE'S Maya Stepney is planning to groom a second teen in her evil plot to make Jacob Gallagher jealous.
The sick paedophile teacher will set her sights on Noah Dingle to spark a competition between the boys - but it could come back to bite her.
It is the final plot twist before Maya's grooming is finally exposed following her affair with 16-year-old Jacob.
They've been sleeping together throughout the soap's uncomfortable storyline.
The pair had sex for the first time earlier this month, and since then they have been shown disappearing together on multiple occasions.
Fans have been left sickened by the scenes - and criticised the soap for "excessive portrayal of their sexual relationship".
But soap bosses have been working with children’s charity Barnardo’s to show how child abusers control their young victims.
Writing on Twitter, one disgruntled critic wrote: "Sigh. More Jacob and Maya kissing and off to have a s**g. Almost every episode now."
Another added: "Jakey and Maya are s***ging like rabbits."
A third warned: "We get it! Maya is abusing Jacob! But do we really need her ALL OVER Jacob EVERYDAY?"
Now Maya wants Jacob to fight for her affections as she hints at another relationship with Noah.
In upcoming scenes the teens will compete for paedo Maya's affections, with jealous Jacobs eventually confronting his friend about his bond with the teacher.
Maya is eventually caught with schoolboy Jacob in bed by Tracy Metcalfe after spending lunchtime having sex.
Actress Louisa Clein, who plays Maya, has hit back about the negativity surrounding the dark plot.
Appearing on Lorraine last week she said: “We’ve had a real mixed reaction, we’ve obviously had people who are incredibly shocked, which is right.
“We don’t want to tell a romantic, titillating story.
“We’ve had this mixture of people saying ‘please make it stop now, we’ve had enough’ but others saying ‘thank you for telling this story’.”
In fact Louisa has been bombarded with messages from real life victims of abuse.
She said: “I’ve had messages from people saying ‘this has really helped me, the relationship I thought I had was wrong.
“I am getting these messages and it’s amazing and it makes it worth it.”
