Great British Bake Off presenter Paul Hollywood gives up favourite treats on ‘caveman’ diet
GREAT British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood has ditched cakes and bread — after his girlfriend inspired him to try a caveman diet.
Summer Monteys-Fullam, 23, has spent three months following the paleo regime — which mimics prehistoric nature-based eating habits.
Paul, 53 — a judge on the Channel 4 show alongside Prue Leith — is prepared to scrap his favourite dough-based treats to get trim too.
A pal said: “Summer started paleo as a New Year’s resolution and has stuck to it rigidly.
“Once she started seeing results, Paul took notice and decided to try to clean up his diet.
“He can’t be as militant about it, given his job. But he’s started eating more whole foods — lean meats and veg in particular.
“He has also cut back on all refined sugar. That means no cake or bread — ironic for one of the country’s best-known bakers.
“They go away quite regularly and will be beach-body ready for the holiday season. Summer looks incredible.”
This week the barmaid posted an Instagram snap of her in a T-shirt and undies to show off her trimmer look.
Summer wrote: “I’ve been doing paleo and it’s been the best thing for me.

“I’ve lost that uncomfortable extra weight and my skin’s never looked better.
“My diet consists of all meats, veg, fruit, nuts and seeds. I don’t eat any grains, dairy, processed sugars, etc. So everything I eat is fresh and clean. It makes you feel great.”
Paul fell for her after splitting from wife Alex, 54, whom he was wed to for 19 years.
