Emmerdale spoilers: Paedophile Maya Stepney fears affair with Jacob has been rumbled as she faces school probe
The sick teacher is worried when head Jessie Grant calls a meeting with her at the school
TWISTED teacher Maya Stepney is left shaken when head teacher Jessie Grant tells her they need to have a meeting in Emmerdale next week.
Maya – who’s played by Louisa Clein in the ITV soap - is relieved when she finds out the meeting is to discuss her performance as a teacher and not her extra-curricular activities with one of her students.
She spins Jessie a lie about suffering from low self-esteem following her divorce from Dales GP Liam Cavanagh. Luckily a sympathetic Jessie buys Maya’s lies and she’s let off the hook.
Maya’s week gets worse when an obviously distressed Jacob tells her he can’t keep lying to his girlfriend Liv Flaherty and his dad David Metcalfe.
Maya’s alarmed and tries to pacify Jacob – Joe-Warren Plant - so he doesn’t reveal the sordid truth about their relationship but she’s left stunned when Jacob ends their affair.
Meanwhile an apprehensive Liv – who came out as asexual last year – tells her best friend Gabby Thomas that she’s decided to sleep with Jacob as soon as possible.
Gabby suggests the reason Jacob is cooling towards Liv is because she isn’t having sex with him. Could Liv be about to do something she’ll regret?
Later Jacob is delighted when Maya starts making efforts to win him back. But what does she suggest and will Jacob go along with it?
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Jacob isn’t the first schoolboy the paedo teacher has groomed following scenes last week.
One viewer penned on Twitter: "Wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the first time Maya has groomed someone...but who is next on the list after Jacob?"
