TOM Hiddleston revealed his Chinese nickname is Shivering Forest in his cringe-worthy vitamin advert last week – but Tom isn’t the only western celebrity who has been given a mocking moniker by his adoring Chinese fans.

With English names difficult to translate using the Chinese alphabet, many of showbiz’s biggest stars have been given cute labels instead.

Ranging from Fruit Sister and Aunty Gold to Tongue Bitch and Bus, we reveal which stars are called what.

Often the names refer to their talent or looks or sometimes just to how their name sounds when it is translated.

KATY PERRY = FRUIT SISTER

This might seem like an odd nickname but ever since she kissed a girl and liked the taste of her Cherry Chapstick, Katy Perry has loved using fruit in her performances.

From coming on stage riding giant bananas to being dressed like a watermelon, Katy loves feeling fruity and the Chinese have noticed.

KIM KARDASHIAN = AUNTY GOLD

She’s worth a cool $350 million and lives a luxurious lifestyle along with the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner-West clan so it’s not hard to see how this nickname came about.

Besides, J-Lo already bagged the second most appropriate nickname.

JENNIFER LOPEZ = LORD OF THE BUTT

Before there was Kim, there was J-Lo, blazing a trail for curvy girls everywhere.

However, J-Lo’s nickname doesn’t just refer to the Booty singer’s, er, booty, it came about because Lopez sounds like “lu b” which translates to Lord of Butt.

Curly Blessing translates to Juan Fu. Juan means curly and Fu is the first syllable in the Chinese translation of Holmes. As in Sherlock Holmes.

MARTIN FREEMAN = PEANUT

Sadly, this isn’t a reference to Martin’s role in the Hobbit or the fact he is some inches shorter than his best pal Curly Blessing.

No, this nickname comes from the translation of Watson, Hua Sheng, sounds just like the word for ‘peanut’ in Chinese

KRISTEN STEWART = STONE COLD FACE

This is nothing to do with the Chinese language, and everything to do with the Twilight actress’s deadpan expression.

Apparently, Kristen is just famous for having a face as cold as stone. Frosty!

LADY GAGA = COMING SOON

The Chinese definitely have a sense of humour and this is a fine example of it. With her outrageous outfits you would think there would be plenty of funny fodder to help them.

But this name refers to the fact the singer always talks about releasing a new album, but takes ages to actually do it. Ouch!

MARIAH CAREY = COW SISTER

This is a truly great nickname. Just as in England we have the saying ‘the dog’s b******s” in China they like to say “the cow’s vagina” and that’s what Mariah’s nickname refers to.

Now, lucky Ariana Grande is getting in on the action and as she’s considered a younger version of Mariah is often dubbed Little Cow. What an honour.

Now this must be because he looks like the little yellow cartoon character right? Wrong!

This name came about after a Taiwanese reporter made a mistake and referred to him as Leonardo Pikachu instead of Di Caprio and it went viral.

ORLANDO BLOOM = BLOSSOMING FLOWER
