The Spice Girls have landed a lucrative deal as the face of Walkers crisps — 22 years after their last campaign for the brand

IT has been a Walkers in the park for the Spice Girls to make money with their upcoming reunion.

I can reveal they have bagged a hugely lucrative deal to star in a new campaign for Walkers crisps.

Not only have they sold hundreds of thousands of tickets for their concerts this summer, they will rake in even more cash by shooting a brand new telly advert.

It will be like going back in time for Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Horner and Mel B, who ­famously partnered with Walkers in 1997 for another campaign which resulted in images of them — and Victoria Beckham — on crisp packets.

A source close to the group said: “The Spice Girls’ reunion is all about the concerts but they know how brand endorsements can massively boost their bank balances.

“Their management company, ­Modest, has been in discussions for several weeks to secure the deal and they recently signed up.

“The girls’ telly advert 22 years ago saw them star alongside the long-time face of Walkers, Gary Lineker, with the slogan No More Mr Spice Guy — so they are considering revisiting that idea.

"Gary still works with the brand and the ad team think it would be fun to do something similar. For their last reunion in 2007 they did an ad for Tesco, but this feels more ­appropriate as the history is there.”

It might be a good thing Posh turned down this reunion after all, having previously revealed that she gives her kids seeds soaked in a ­gluten-free soy sauce as snacks rather than packets of crisps.

Mel B is expected to fly back to the UK in the ­coming weeks to shoot the advert, which is due to air throughout the summer, and to start rehearsing for the tour, which begins in Dublin on May 24.

At least they’ll have plenty of free snacks to keep them going.

GAME Of Thrones’ Sophie Turner is reaching for the stars as she prepares to leave the role that made her famous.

The actress, who has played Sansa Stark since 2011, wore a space-themed Louis Vuitton dress at the final-season premiere in New York.

Jon Snow actor Kit Harington joined wife Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte, while Mother Of Dragons Emilia Clarke also walked the red carpet with The Mountain Hafthor Julius and Prince Oberyn Martell actor Pedro Pascal.

Season eight of the hit HBO fantasy series airs in two weeks. I’m waiting in anticipation.
