The news comes amid the harrowing factory roof collapse storyline, which claimed the life of Rana Habeeb on her wedding day.

Earlier this week, Corrie fans were disgusted as Nick Tilsley forced Carla Connor to take all the blame for Rana's death.

The Underworld factory boss already blames herself for ignoring Gary Windass' warning about the roof's safety in the run up to the accident.

But tonight, former flame Nick twisted the knife even further by paying her a menacing visit and telling her she is solely to blame for the tragedy.

While Nick has potential to have caused the roof collapse himself, Carla took their conversation to heart, and when she was arrested by police, she told them she had killed Rana, and that no one else could be to blame.

Viewers were furious with Nick, played by Ben Price, for his behaviour and took to Twitter to slam him.

One wrote: "how can he be so nasty to her when he can see she is broken."

Another added: "Nick is horrible, truly horrible. he's only worried about being locked up with Carla & doesn't give a damn that Rana is dead.

"I'd love somehow, some way that the blame is put solely on Nick or that he's held to blame for it with Carla."

A third agreed, writing: "When did Nick get to be evil? He was always the better of the two brothers, he seems to be possessed by the Old David."
