NOT SO SPICE

Spice Girls secret revealed: Is this the REAL meaning behind zig-a-zig-ah?

A SPICE Girls songwriter has made outrageous claims about the origin of their famous phrase "zig-a-zih-ah".

It features in their smash hit Wannabe when they sing ";I wanna really really really wanna zig-a-zig-ah" but they have never revealed what it actually means.

An insider has revealed the secret meaning behind the Spice Girls' phrase 'zig-a-zih-ah'

But reports that an insider who co-wrote the single in "a cramped but hip" studio complex in London in 1995 is claiming the
phrase comes from a surprisingly unsavoury place.

The music source explained: "Most of our studio neighbours were way cooler than us, we had Orbital and Chemical Brothers next door.

"But there was this one 80s pop dude who hated us for encroaching what he considered 'his turf' which was boy bands and girl bands."

He continued: "This guy had this nasty habit of taking a dump in the shared khazi while smoking a cigar, so we took to referring to him as 's**t and cigars'.

"During the recording this phrase was thrown around a lot and must have worked its way into Mel B's subconscious who pretty much wrote all the
lyrics.

"She may have considered 's*** and cigar' for a minute – but eventually settled on 'Zig-a-zig-ah' instead."

Despite the strange claims, the song was one of the group's biggest hits, topping the charts in 37 countries and selling more than 7million copies.

However, her decision to snub the comeback is said to have angered Mel B who is desperate to get all five of them back together again.

Confirming their discussions to return, Geri previously said: "I can say that there’s been talks. That’s fair and honest."
