RICHARD Madeley claimed on Good Morning Britain today that "sexual tension thrums in the air" on Strictly Come Dancing.
Following the revelation that Stacey Dooley is dating her dance partner Kevin Clifton, the 62-year-old said he'd heard from people behind the scenes things can get rather passionate.
Discussing the pair's fling, Richard asked: “Wasn’t Kevin Susanna (Reid)’s partner?” .
Quickly, clearing things up, co-host Kate Garraway joked: “There was no rumours there so please don’t start any.”
Undeterred, Richard continued to ask whether Good Morning Britain presenter and former Strictly contestant Susanna Reid had spoken about the show's infamous "curse".
“We’ve all talked about it because obviously all of us have taken part,” stated Richard Arnold.
But, Richard replied: “Everyone I’ve met who works on the show says that the sexual tension thrums in the air."
Cutting in, Richard Arnold joked: “It certainly did when I was on Dicky, it was palpable when I took to the floor.”
The presenter's discussion comes shortly after The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed that Strictly winner Stacey, 32, is secretly dating her dance partner Kevin, 36.
Her heartbroken ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott admitted he discovered the relationship when he saw a giveaway text to Stacey from Kevin telling her: “I love you.”
Personal trainer Sam, 30, stormed: “The blame is with Kevin. He’s an absolute rat.’’
Sam says he and the TV star had agreed to split and were clearing their flat when the message flashed up on her mobile.
He revealed: “I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo.
“Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton — ‘I love you’ with a red love heart."
Stacey then texted him at 8.33pm that day — April 1 — to explain she’d fallen for Kevin who she won the last series with.
She wrote: “Sam, I know you hate me at the moment.
“But you saw I didn’t start entertaining and texting him (Kevin) until I split up with you. I was not with you when we started it all.
“I did fall for him but when we were done. I will tell you anything you want to know.”
Heartbroken Sam replied: “I don’t hate you Stacey. I hate what you’ve done.”
Although, taking to Twitter earlier today to speak about her alleged 'secret romance' Stacey has insisted there are "two sides to every story".
