BEYONCE was left hungry after cutting out carbs, sugar and dairy in an extreme post-baby diet.
The superstar revealed how she lost weight after giving birth to twins Rumi and Sir Carter in her Netflix documentary Homecoming.
She said: "In order for me to meet my goals, I'm limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol - and I'm hungry."
Beyonce told how her weight peaked to 15st 5lbs on the day she gave birth.
She made "huge sacrifices" to slim down ahead of her first performance at Coachella - and even managed to fit back into an old tour costume.
In her new bombshell documentary on Netflix, the singer opened up about once going too far to lose weight when she tried out the Maple Syrup Diet when in Dreamgirls.
In a bid to drop 21lbs in ten days, Beyonce drank lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
She admitted: "I definitely pushed myself further than I knew I could and I learned a very valuable lesson.
"I will never, never push myself that far again."
The 37-year-old launched her own 22-day plant-based meal plan last year after her and her husband Jay went vegan.
Homecoming focuses on the star’s Coachella gig in California last April, which took place ten months after she gave birth to the twins.
The behind-the-scenes footage shows Beyoncé getting into peak physical condition, courtesy of an intense training regime and dance rehearsals where she would lose between 1,500-2,000 calories per session.

On the show she spoke in detail for the first time about suffering a health scare when she gave birth to the twins.
“I had an extremely difficult pregnancy," she explained.
“I had high blood pressure, I developed toxaemia, preeclampsia and in the womb, one of my babies heartbeat paused a few times so I had to get an emergency C-section.”
