Emmerdale’s Kim Tate horrified to see her son Jamie rushed to hospital after tricking him into returning, reveals Claire King
The super bitch has arranged for her son to be manipulated into coming to the village he was born in by investing in the vets and convincing Rhona to offer him a job
EMMERDALE'S Kim Tate is in for a shock when her son Jamie finally arrives in the village - because he ends up being rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
The super bitch - who is played by actress Claire King in the ITV soap - has arranged for her son to be manipulated into coming to the village he was born in by investing in the vets and convincing Rhona Goskirk to offer him a job.
But her joy at seeing Jamie for the first time in years is short-lived, with him being involved in a car crash that sees him sent to hospital and Eric Pollard fighting for his life.
Actress Claire told the Sun Online: "Kim can’t believe it but its under very dubious circumstances because of the car crash.
"Jamie's being carted off in an ambulance and she doesn’t know if he’ll survive. She loves her son, that is genuine, she is trying to manipulate people but, as she sees it, for his benefit."
She added: "Jamie doesn’t want any of that he wants to do things of his own volition. She wants to fight his corner."
And it is equally a shock for Jamie who is horrified his mum isn't still in prison and has been behind it all.
Alexander Lincoln, who plays Jamie added: "It's for the job at the vets he’s been offered. At this point he thinks Kim is still in prison, then finds out that she’s not!
"He's very easily manipulated by her so is brought back into the fold even though he doesn’t want to be, but she is his mum. Even when you're estranged from someone you still want to have that relationship.
"But he realises Kim is still pulling the strings. She thinks she can win him round and get him back in the fold living at Home Farm and does everything in her means to do it, Kim’s way is not the way Jamie wants it done. It's an ongoing battle."
But Jamie is going to help soften his mother's more evil side and convince her to be a nicer human being.
Claire added: "Yes, there will prob be a few stories that come along where he will influence Kim in a certain way and possibly she’s got a few kinder words for certain Dingles in the future.
"I can’t say which ones. It won’t be Faith yet, she’s still got to go off a balcony yet, revenge!"
