Chris Evans admits that he is closer to his twins than his older sons as he welcomes Sam Claflin to Virgin Radio Breakfast Show
CHRIS Evans has admitted that he has a closer bond with his twins than his older sons in a candid chat with Hollywood actor Sam Claflin.
The pair were comparing notes on fatherhood as Sam appeared on Chris' Virgin Radio Breakfast Show earlier this morning.
Sam, 32, shares a three-year-old son and one-year-old daughter with actress wife Laura Haddock, meanwhile, 53-year-old Chris has seven-month-old twins, Boo and Walt, with wife Natasha Shishmanian.
Chris and Natasha also have nine-year-old Noah and six-year-old Eli together, with Chris dad to 33-year-old Jade from his previous relationship with Alison Ward.
Speaking to Sam about adapting to life with more than one child, Chris said: "The thing with having twins is that I am closer to both twins now than I was with both Eli and Noah at the same age.
"Because there was [only] one of them and mum does most of the natural things.
"But with twins you get to have the other, you get to have one all the time - you are a full-time parent and it changes your relationship."
Meanwhile, Sam admitted that he struggled returning to work so soon after his daughter was born as he called for dad's to get more paternity leave.
He told the host: "It was definitely a trying time, being a new father and trying to go back to work.
"Men should get more paternity leave, so many men are expected to go back to work so soon after having babies."

Sam went on to reveal that he was left so exhausted by the challenge of looking after a newborn and a toddler on top of working full time that he once fell asleep standing up while filming new film The Corrupted.
He explained: "There is one scene in particular where I am running around in the East End of London, I had a gun in my hand, and the director started trying to feed me direction.
"I actually fell asleep standing up. I was genuinely very, very tired. Dad tired."
Still, the struggle hasn't deterred the actor as he admitted that he wants to have "two more" with Laura, adding: "I embrace the challenge, what is wonderful about our society is that men are willing and wanting to be more involved than they used to be."
