Britney Spears’ ex manager Sam Lutfi denies claims he wrote ‘fake emails’ and says Britney was ‘forced to make video statement’

The manager hit back at Britney’s video message as she broke her silence to address her wellbeing

BRITNEY Spears’ ex manager Sam Lutfi has denied claims he wrote ‘fake emails’ and says that the singer was forced to make a video statement about her wellbeing.

The 37-year-old pop star broke her silence in the early hours of this morning to address the rumours surrounding her after she was seen for the first since she entered a mental health facility.

But Sam, who worked with Britney back in 2007 and has strongly suggested she is being controlled against her free will, has hit back at her video and suggested she was coerced into releasing it by her team who wanted to create a diversion.

He wrote: “Britney’s Instagram post has accused me of fabricating emails of hers that have been circulating recently.

“I can unequivocally state that I never wrote nor had access to her email. Her team’s desperate attempt to defect negative attention onto me (yet again) is a rather ineffective way to overshadow the FreeBritney movement.

“In addition to making certain people in her camp look bad, the emails in question show a woman capable of running her own life, a narrative they apparently want to hide.”

Sam then retweeted a post that read: “Britney clearly didn’t write that caption and that generic video message? Nah huns. Since when has @britneyspears ever named and shamed anyone or even threw shade at @SamLutfi? It’s a diversion! #FreeBritney.”

In Britney’s video today she claimed the fake emails being spread around were “crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago”.

“I did not write them,” Britney added.

“He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address.”

Britney made the decision to speak out after images of her  leaving a five-star hotel with her boyfriend Sam Asghari on Easter Sunday sparked concern amongst fans.

In the video, Britney explained she needed time to herself because her family have been “going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately”.

However, she reassured fans that “all is well”, adding: “I am strong, and stand up for what I want”.

Britney is said to be struggling to cope after her dad Jamie almost died from a ruptured colon..

She entered a mental health facility earlier this month after revealing she'd cancelled her second Las Vegas residency.

The Sun Online has contacted Britney's rep for comment.
