Emmerdale: Peado Maya and Jacob’s secret is out – but what happens next?

In last night's episode, her illegal relationship with 16-year-old pupil Jacob Gallagher was uncovered and all hell is about to break loose in the village. Here's what's about to go down...
How did Maya and Jacob get caught?
In yesterday's episode of Emmerdale, a group of the villagers headed into Hotten for a big night out - which resulted in David Metcalfe kissing his ex Tracy.
Maya (Louisa Clein), David's current squeeze, completely lost it when she – which was pretty rich considering she’s been grooming David’s teenage son for months – and had a go at the pair before storming off.
But after she stormed off, she met up with Jacob and the pair began snogging. Unfortunately for them another one of David’s exes, Priya Kocheta was outside looking for her lost purse and she saw them.
Shocked, she went back in the club and told Tracy - Amy Walsh - and another of David’s exes who also happens to be Jacob’s biological mum, Leyla Harding, what she saw.
Needless to say Leyla was less than happy about a middle-aged teacher sleeping with her schoolboy son.
So the twisted secret is out. But what happens next? Here’s what we know…
Maya is either attacked or in a fight
The last thing we saw of Maya was Leyla - Roxy Shahidi - telling her that sharing a car journey home with Tracy was the last of her worries.
We know that whatever happens with Leyla and Maya ain’t gonna be pretty. Trailers for the Big Night Out episodes have shown Maya staring at herself in a mirror where she looks battered and bloody.
In the same trailer, Leyla was seen furiously smashing her hands against a mirror. Could Leyla attack Maya? Are the two women in a vicious fight to the death? Or is there a twist with Maya coming out on top?
Obviously we can’t give anything away, but we can tell you that it’s all going to be extremely dramatic.

Maya gets her comeuppance
Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks has promised fans of the ITV soap that Maya will get the proper punishment for her sick crime.
She said the soap had a duty to play Maya’s sick abuse out ‘responsibly.’
Hinting that Maya could face prison for her crimes, Kate told The Metro: “We’ve got a responsibility. A lot of people watch the show, a lot of teenagers watch the show, and also we would never just tell one of these stories lightly. We have a duty to make sure the right protocol is carried out, and the right outcome
"It can make for uncomfortable viewing but I think it’s a really important storyline to tell."
She added: "There’s still a long way to go, it’s not going to be as straightforward as you’d imagine, there’s going to be other obstacles thrown into the mix.
"We want people to be yelling at the TV 'please tell somebody. This is not right! You’re a young lad. Please speak out about this'"
