BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans have complained that golden buzzer winner Giorgia Borg is already a star - having sung the exact same song on TV on a Junior Eurovision contest.

Last night, judge Alesha Dixon made the Maltese 11-year-old her selection to sail straight through to the live semi-finals of the ITV contest.

Leaping from her seat, the 40-year-old former Mis-Teeq star exclaimed "that's how you do it" before running onto the stage and hugging Giorga.

However, some viewers weren't so impressed, blasting Britain's Got Talent for using "established talent" because she appeared on television in her native Malta.

One fan wrote: "So annoying when they pull the old 'This is a shock routine' she's already being on Junior Eurovision."

Another raged: "Oh for f**ks sake #bgt stop using already established talent. Giorgia Borg already won multiple contests and been on Eurovision kids with the same song. Recycled s**t all the time."

A third wrote: "So Giorgia Borg, a singer on Malta’s Eurovision in previous years flies over to the uk to go on Britain’s got talent.

"Says Alisha is her favourite before performing and then Alisha uses her golden buzzer for her, doesn’t seem staged at all mr Cowell."

Another insisted: "She's already sung that song on Junior Eurovision, so not the 'shocker' it seemed."

One other tweeted: "Correct me if I'm wrong but didn'r Giorgia Borg respresent Malta in the Junior Eurovision song constant??"

However, another stuck up for her, insisting: "No, she didn’t make it to Junior Eurovision, she finished 3rd in Malta’s national final."

Another said: "The Malta Junior Eurovision song contest and a couple small European talent shows are not exactly the international platform #BGT provides."

Giorgia, who was 10 when she filmed the show, followed in the footsteps of fellow Maltese performers Destiny and Amy Marie Borg when she performed on the TV hit last night.

She sung a song she wrote with singer-songwriter Muxu which she also performed on Malta Junior Eurovision last year.

However, she failed to become her country's nomination that year, winding up in third place.

Giorga has won a number of awards, including first place at the Italian 'Una Stella Sta Nascendo' 2015 for Best Junior Talent. She also came first at the 2017 Sanremo Junior in Malta.

She said: "I auditioned at the Malta Junior Eurovision heats stage, but I didn't get through. There was a much bigger crowd at BGT audition and it was much more exciting."

A Britain's Got Talent spokesperson said: "Britain's Got Talent offers the opportunity for people to showcase their talent.

"Some of the acts have previously appeared on other shows, as is the case for many TV talent shows these days, but there are no rules that state this should prevent them for applying.

"All acts audition on the same basis and normal programme rules apply."
