Emmerdale spoilers: Leyla finally comes clean to Jacob over attacking evil paedo Maya and leaving her for dead – but Maya’s still missing

The fate of Maya Stepney will finally be revealed in Emmerdale next week as Leyla Harding confesses all to her son Jacob Gallagher.

Fans of the ITV soap know that teacher Maya – played by actress Louisa Clein - has been abusing Jacob – the teenage son of her boyfriend David Metcalfe.

The couple were caught out in dramatic scenes when Priya Sharma spotted them kissing outside of a club as the villagers headed to Hotten for a night out.

Priya went on to tell Leyla and Tracy Metcalfe what she’d seen, causing Leyla to trick an unsuspecting Maya into a car. It’s unclear exactly what happened next but Maya has been missing ever since.

Leyla – Roxy Shahidi - will come clean to Jacob and a flashback to the night out will show that Priya, Tracy and Leyla confronted Maya before driving her away and ending up in the woods.

Viewers will see how Maya is put under pressure by the three women, but manages to escape. They go after her though and things soon take a terrifying turn as what happened becomes clear.

So did Leyla get the ultimate revenge on Maya for grooming Jacob? It certainly looks that way as Leyla violently attacks her and promises she will make her regret every single thing she did to Jacob.

Fans of the ITV soap have predicted that Maya will return though after scenes last week showed Tracy, Leyla and Priya return to the woods where they left Maya, to find her gone.

Only Priya’s scarf remained and later Leyla told the others not to reveal what had happened.

She said: “She said: “She’ll probably wash up somewhere as a tragic accident, no-one knows we were there with her.

“We have to focus on protecting Jacob and David.”

But fans think that Maya survived the attack and will ‘come back from the dead’ to have her revenge.
