ROB'S FIELD DAY

Robbie Williams planning bash to celebrate Ayda Field’s 40th with pals including Simon Cowell, Adele and Elton John

HE hasn’t had a beer in nearly 20 years but Robbie William still knows how to throw a birthday bash.

I’m told he is planning a lavish party at his US home to celebrate wife Ayda Field’s 40th  on May 17.

Ornate invitations have been dished out to a select 100 people the couple want to share the big night with.

Along with close family and friends, guests are said to include Simon Cowell, Adele, Elton John and Petra Ecclestone.

They will all  be invited to  the couple’s Malibu home in  Los Angeles.

A source said: “Robbie’s been really excited to plan the party, although it’s not a surprise because he knows Ayda would freak out if there was a big party and she hadn’t picked her own outfit and pulled out all the stops to look and feel her best.

“There’s a bit of a buzz of excitement about the event as Rob and Ayda pride themselves on throwing a good party and never disappoint.

“Plus it’s at their place by the beach, so it’s a beautiful setting and will be catered at a really high standard, with vegans and vegetarians particularly well catered for.” The couple are enjoying some down time between Robbie’s stints at his Las Vegas residency, which began in March and continues in June.

They’ve rented out their London and Beverly Hills homes to enjoy living near the coastline of LA with their three children, Teddy, Charlie and youngest daughter Coco, who was born in September via a surrogate.

The birthday bash will also mark 20 years since former drug addict and alcoholic Robbie last touched booze.

He told The Sun two years ago: “I’m an alcoholic. I like booze. That’s the one that stayed with me, going to meetings, going to rehab, getting this information.

“It’s miraculous because I’m drawn to getting f***ed up.”

Robbie and Ayda, a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women, announced at the start of April that they would not be returning as judges on the next series of The X Factor.

That hasn’t stopped them remaining close friends with Simon and his partner Lauren Silverman — and the couples will be spending time together in LA this month away from the bash.

I’m sure they’ll get one hell of a party bag, too.

SHE is notoriously coy when it comes to relationship problems – but Adele finally broke her silence about her break-up yesterday with a defiant Instagram post.

The singer spoke out in a meme, above, following her split from  Simon Konecki.

It shows a snap of her crying next to one of her smiling while making a “finger gun” gesture.

The caption  read: “When you catch yourself in your feelings then you remember who  you are.”

It comes after The Sun revealed last week   that Adele had called it quits with the charity boss, who she has a son with, after more than seven years.

The album features 21  Elton  hits sung by  Taron Egerton, who plays Elton in the film, as well as   new tune  (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again, performed by Elton and Taron.

The record is  to  be released on May 24 and Elton said:  “It was so important that the music I composed and recorded had to be sung  by Taron.

“I didn’t want to be in Taron’s shadows, watching over the process, I trusted them to do what they needed to do, artistically and, listening back, I’ve been astonished with the results.

“Getting the music right was the most important thing, as the songs in the film are integral to the story.”

Taron agreed, and added: “The beauty  of having Elton involved  with the film is that we’ve been able to work with him to see how far we can take these classic songs.”

The film  hits cinemas on May 22.

I’m sure sales will Rocket, Man.
