CHRIS Evans has revealed that he once refused to rent his Surrey house to Will Smith when he was filming in the UK.
The 53-year-old was chatting to Mena Massoud, who plays Aladdin in the 2019 Disney remake, on his Virgin Radio Breakfast show this morning.
Mena was on the show to talk about the upcoming release of the live action film, when the presenter decided to quiz him on where his co-star Will Smith stayed while he was filming in the UK, after he had a suspicion that the actor had tried to stay in his property in Surrey.
Chris began: "We rent our house, we still have the house that we own, but we rent a house. Somebody phoned us up about two years ago and said: "Do you want to rent your house out?," I said: "Not really, we are alright to be honest."
But they said: "But don't you rent a house yourself. You might want to consider this," I said: "Why?"
He said: "It's a good let, it's a good price." I said: "Who's it for? They said: "We can't tell you that. He's making a big film around the corner."
Chris then pressed the Aladdin actor for more details regarding their UK filming schedule.
"When did you make the movie?" he asked.
Mena replied: "We made the movie July of 2017."
And Chris stated: "That'd be it, I tell you!"
He added: "Did you go to the house he was staying in?"
Mena said: "I did not go, but I could describe it to you maybe," before asking: "Is it gated, is your house gated?"
But Chris later explained that the actor in question hadn't stayed there in the end as he turned down the lucrative offer.
He said: "No, no, he didn't stay there in the end because I said no!"
Before jokingly adding: "In my mind it was definitely Will Smith they were talking about."
Will Smith stars alongside Mena in the remake as the Genie, while Naomi Scott plays the role of Jasmine and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar.
Guy Ritchie's new version of the hit 1992 Disney cartoon, which was filmed at Longcross Studios in Surrey and Jordan's Wadi Rum Desert, is out on 24 May.
