Emmerdale spoilers: Paedo teacher Maya is finally ARRESTED for abusing schoolboy Jacob after David confronts her
He’s horrified as she’s taken away by police after David Metcalfe finally reports her
IT LOOKS like the game is finally up for twisted teacher Maya Stepney in Emmerdale next week as she’s arrested for grooming and abusing her teenage student Jacob Gallagher.
With Jacob - who’s played by Joe-Warren Plant - back in the village, his dad David Metcalfe convinces a reluctant Ryan Stocks to install spyware on the teen’s laptop so he can check if he’s still communicating with evil Maya.
Later, Jacob heads to mum Leyla Harding’s house to revise for his exams but when Leyla turns her back Jacob starts rummaging through the drawers, looking for money - and Maya’s passport.
The pair are still planning to run off together and Jacob smiles as he messages Maya telling her he’s found her passport. But little does he know he’s being watched by David through the spyware.
Jacob and Maya arrange to meet at the cricket pavilion, but Maya is stunned when a furious David arrives to confront her instead in a tense Emmerdale showdown.
Desperate Maya – actress Louisa Clein – pleads with David and offers to leave Jacob and the village if he just lets her go. Their argument soon becomes heated and Maya tries to push past David to leave.
But as she does, she’s stopped in her tracks as she sees police cars approaching, just as Jacob arrives.
Jacob is distraught as he sees Maya being bundled into the back of a police car, while David watches on hoping he’s made the right decision by turning his sick ex girlfriend in.
But will Jacob ever forgive him?
Maya – who was Jacob’s teacher and David’s girlfriend – has been grooming and abusing the schoolboy for months.
But the truth about their twisted relationship soon began unravelling during the special Big Night Out episode earlier this month.
In the special, the teacher was caught kissing Jacob by David's ex-girlfriend Priya Sharma and she soon shared her concerns with Leyla Harding and Tracy Metcalfe.
The women later bundled Maya into a car and took her into the woods, where she was left for dead after Leyla hit her over the head with a rock.
During the flashback episode last week, the truth about what had really happened that night was revealed and viewers watched on in horror as Maya was seen alive and in a hotel room with Jacob as she planned to flee the country.
But fans slammed the soap for still letting Maya get away with abusing the schoolboy after his stepdad David finally learnt the truth.
Emmerdale bosses have promised that the storyline would be concluded responsibly.

Show boss Kate Brooks told Metro back in March: “We’ve got a responsibility.
A lot of people watch the show, a lot of teenagers watch the show, and also we would never just tell one of these stories lightly.
“We have a duty to make sure the right protocol is carried out, and the right outcome.
"It can make for uncomfortable viewing but I think it’s a really important storyline to tell."
She added: "There’s still a long way to go, it’s not going to be as straightforward as you’d imagine, there’s going to be other obstacles thrown into the mix.
"We want people to be yelling at the TV 'please tell somebody. This is not right! You’re a young lad. Please speak out about this'"
Fans were stunned last week when it was revealed that Maya – who Leyla thought she’d killed – was alive and well and staying with Jacob in a hotel while the schoolboy pretended to be in Portugal.
