Lady Gaga invited EastEnders star June Brown, 92, out clubbing — but actress turned her down
The celebrities, aged 33 and 92, became friends on The Graham Norton Show
EASTENDERS legend June Brown formed an unlikely friendship with music superstar Lady Gaga — who asked her to go clubbing.
The actress, 92, befriended the singer, 33, on a chat show but turned down the chance to hit the tiles with her at members’ club Annabel’s in London.
June, who has played Dot Cotton in the BBC1 soap for 34 years, said: “I just met her on The Graham Norton Show.
“I was last to come on, and she was so lovely. So respectful. We sort of took over the show. I was wondering if I should have sat on Graham’s lap.
“Lady Gaga invited me to go to Annabel’s, but unfortunately I had to be up early in the morning — and I thought to myself, ‘I can’t go clubbing’.”
On ITV’s Loose Women she also revealed she has given up on sex since the death of her husband Robert in 2003.
She said: “I’m sick and tired of sex, I really am.”
Asked when she got fed up with it, she added: “About 20 years ago.”
