Emmerdale spoilers: Dawn Taylor returns and begs Harriet Finch for forgiveness after stalker ordeal

EMMERDALE vicar Harriet Finch has some serious thinking to do next week when Dawn Taylor returns and begs for forgiveness for her part in dad Will’s terror campaign.

Dawn – played by Olivia Bromley in the ITV soap - arrives to see Harriet and tells her that she needs her and doesn’t want to lose her. But Harriet is conflicted, torn between anger and worrying that if she rejects Dawn, the recovering drug addict might head back on a downward spiral.

Later Harriet – Katherine Dow Blyton - is alarmed and shocked when Will turns up and –despite her better judgement – hears him out when he says he needs to talk to her.

Harriet can’t help but worry as Will explains Dawn’s in a bad way over everything that’s happened between them.

Will – Dean Andrews - and Harriet realise they both feel responsible for Dawn’s despair but, with all the hatred between them, where can they go from here? Can they help Dawn or will she turn to drugs to cope with her pain?

Will arrived in the village with the intention of murdering Harriet who he blames for wrecking his and Dawn’s lives.

While Harriet was in the police force she was involved in a sting operation that involved her infiltrating Will’s life undercover. She introduced herself to him as a call centre worker called Michelle and they began a relationship.

Harriet grew close to Will’s young daughter, Dawn, but when Will was jailed, Dawn was put into care and Harriet didn’t see her again until she was a drug-addicted prostitute.

Harriet took Dawn under her wing and helped her clean up her life, but Will was released from prison and began a harassment campaign against the vicar, getting Dawn involved too.

Harriet and Will finally came face to face in dramatic scenes last week when he tried to murder her with a coffin lid.
