Emmerdale spoilers: Moment paedo Maya Stepney is arrested revealed – but will she be released on bail?
She’s taken away by the police, but is this the last we see of the sick teacher?
THE moment all Emmerdale fans have been waiting months for comes tonight as paedophile teacher Maya Stepney is arrested for grooming and abusing her teenage student Jacob Gallagher.
The twisted blonde will come face to face with Jacob’s dad and ex boyfriend David Metcalfe tonight. And rather than being ashamed of her actions, she tries to offer David a deal – if he lets her go, she’ll disappear forever.

But David is one step ahead and the police soon arrive and take her away, while a distraught Jacob watches on.
Maya will be bundled into a cop car and driven off, but will this be the last we see of the pervert, or will she be released on bail?
Emmerdale bosses haven’t made it clear what happens to Maya yet, but viewers know that she and Jacob have agreed a cover story if she was ever arrested.
Maya- actress Louisa Clein - brainwashed Jacob into agreeing he would say their relationship was only in his head if the police ever became involved, so there’s every chance she could be released on bail.
Matthew Wolfenden who plays David recently spoke out about the controversial storyline and said it’s just the beginning for Jacob, who has a long road ahead as he comes to terms with being abused.
He said: “David absolutely believes he has done the right thing. Now that he knows the truth, he absolutely despises Maya.
"There’s no emotion over losing his girlfriend. That completely goes out of the window and it’s now pure, unadulterated hate.
"David wants Maya to go away to prison and for the key to be thrown away.
"Jacob actually witnesses Maya being handcuffed and put into the police car."

"This is the start of the hard times for David and Jacob. The fact that Maya has been arrested is not the end of the storyline. I think it’s the beginning of the next chapter.
"I don’t know what’s going to happen next, because as far as Jacob thinks, David has ruined his life. I don’t know if he’s ever going to come around to the fact that David hasn’t. It’s definitely not going to be a quick fix."
