Little Mix stars Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson reveal they’re no strangers to a boozy snog
WHEN Mel B dropped the bombshell that she’d had sex with Geri Halliwell it caused big bust-ups between the Spice Girls, just weeks before their comeback tour.
But there’s no danger of a similar rift rocking Little Mix — who exclusively reveal that Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson are no strangers to a boozy snog.
The four-piece girlband, including Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, rocked Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Middlesbrough on Sunday night. And in a backstage chat, they opened up about their racy antics.
Asked if there had ever been anything sexual between them, Perrie said: “Of course there has.
“Me and Jesy get together all the time, especially when we’re drunk.”
Rolling her eyes, Jesy said: “God, the fans would love that. . . I forgot that!”
Perrie said: “It was funny, but we are like sisters.”
That will be a relief to their boyfriends.
Jesy is dating former Love Island contestant Chris Hughes while Perrie has been with Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for almost three years.
During their Big Weekend set, Little Mix premiered a snippet of their new single Bounce Back.
It marks a fresh start after the turmoil surrounding their fifth studio album, LM5, which came out in November.
The Sun revealed the band had left Syco for RCA around the same time as its release.
‘A NO-BRAINER’
Jade said: “It just felt right, especially moving to the new label. It felt like we wanted to do something new.”
They recorded the track in Los Angeles at the start of this year and shot a video in London earlier this month.
Jesy said: “It did happen really quickly. We heard it about two months ago and as soon as we heard it we said, ‘OK, we are having this’’
“We love it, it’s such a vibe, it’s a summer tune. It was a no-brainer. It’s one of those songs that can be played anywhere and just makes you want to dance.”
Next month, the band start their tour of Australia.
Perrie said: “Expect big things. Every time we tour we want it to be better than the last. And the last one was pretty darn good.”
Jesy added: “We’ve got a new team, so that’s even more exciting. Everything’s going to be different. It’s a lot more grown up.”
I wonder how they will keep themselves entertained on the road . . .

Miley a shady lady
MILEY Cyrus flew into a rage after these giant sunnies went missing moments before her performance.
The singer had her 14-strong team hunt for the oversized shades, which she said were key to her set.
Insiders backstage revealed the frantic search party eventually found them after discovering they had fallen out of a window.
Luckily, Miley’s outfit was complete just in time for her headline show, in which she sang We Can’t Stop with Charli XCX.
Miley asked if she would join her just 24 hours earlier. Charlie said: “This tweet came out of the blue and I was like, ‘f*** yeah.’ We haven’t rehearsed. It feels very exciting.” They didn’t disappoint.
Ellie's in good spirits
SHE has played numerous gigs around the world, but singer Ellie Goulding admits to needing a little Dutch courage before performing live.
Before taking to the main stage on Sunday night, she said: “I generally have a drink or two before I go on stage – I’m too shy otherwise.
“I’ll have a vodka soda or something, nothing too heavy. I can’t drink whisky. White wine is not really my thing either. I like a gin and tonic.”
But Ellie isn’t shy when it comes to her political opinions, blasting Nigel Farage as “a dangerous person”.
And although she announced her engagement to art dealer Caspar Jopling in a newspaper last year, Ellie struggles with sharing details of her personal life on social media.
She said: “It’s a difficult balance.
“You want to keep some things to yourself just to keep sane, but you want fans to see what you’re doing because I see fans as a really big part of my life.”
Bring Me The roles
BRING Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes missed out on a Star Wars cameo.
He was due to film for 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story but had his role cut.
In an exclusive chat, his bandmate Jordan Fish said: “There was that talk of when you were going to be in Star Wars. I was jealous of that.”
Oli explained: “I don’t know what as, but it was the Han Solo one.
“A couple of weeks before it was meant to be finished, the directors got sacked and everything just changed.
“But it’s probably for the best because I can’t act.”

MUMFORD & SONS weren’t going to be left with an empty stomach after coming off stage. Not happy with food on site, they insisted on bringing their own catering team to provide them with assorted meats and cheeses.
DJs' wild night out
RADIO 1’s DJs proved to be wilder than any of the acts on the line-up after partying until 5am yesterday.
Greg James, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw and Mollie King went out in Middlesbrough.
But just hours earlier Grimmy – who was seen backstage with a balaclava-wearing Billie Eilish – said his party days were numbered.
He said: “I just can’t drink like I used to. I just feel too horrible the next day − my face sort of looks weird for two days afterwards.
“When you get to 30 it is a different feeling to a hangover. It’s not like, ‘I’ve got a bit of a headache,’ it’s, ‘I can’t get out of bed’.”
Bacon butties all round.

James: I have to work X-tra hard
JAMES Arthur reckons he’s missing out on awards success because of his X Factor baggage.
The singer, who won the talent show in 2012, has been nominated twice for Single Of The Year at the Brits but has yet to take home the gong and he feels he has to work twice as hard as other acts to get recognised.
In an exclusive interview at the Radio 1 event, he said: “I won The X Factor six years ago and to still be having hits, I have to remind myself what a huge achievement that is. When you look at the record of people from that show, especially males, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
“But then there’s a real competitive side to me that wants to be up there and given the accolades that some of the other guys are. I feel like it’s more of a struggle for me sometimes, maybe because of where I came from.”
James, who played the Big Weekend on Saturday, was forced to cancel a performance for a charity show at the last minute in March due to crippling anxiety.
Discussing the incident, he said: “There was a lot going on at the time and I’d actually injured myself, I’m still dealing with a knee injury.
“Running was one helpful way to combat the anxiety and I wasn’t able to do that so at the time I felt trapped.”
Judging by his set at the weekend, James is most definitely back to his best.
