Furious Katie Price reads former best friend the riot act after she claimed Katie was ‘having a breakdown’ and ‘embarrassing herself’
FURIOUS Katie Price has read her former best friend Francine Lewis the riot act after she claimed that Katie was "having a breakdown" and "embarrassing herself".
The 41-year-old star has been left fuming by the Britain's Got Talent star's recent comments - and has claimed that they aren't even in contact.
Katie has sparked concern in recent months after undergoing a series of cosmetic procedures and drastically altering her appearance - with her erratic behaviour during an x-rated appearance at G-A-Y's Porn Idol earlier this month also hitting the headlines.
Speaking out earlier this week, 43-year-old Francine claimed that she had reached out to her pal via text, adding that she fears Katie has "gone off the rails".
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, a source has now revealed that Katie is fed-up with Francine discussing her personal life, and that she is only trying to make money out of her.
The insider told us: "Katie's sick and tired of Francine talking about her like they're best mates when they have no contact at all.
"She messaged her telling her to bind her beak and stop talking about her when she knows nothing about her life.
"She says everyone’s out to make money off her and this is why she doesn’t let a lot of people into her life.
"Katie’s furious about it all."
Katie's publicist had no comment but when The Sun Online contacted Francine for a comment she said: "We are no longer friends. I did reach out to her a few months back as I know she’s going through a tough time.
"But everyone has an opinion, and when asked that’s mine. I don’t know why she’s angry I said nothing bad. If she didn’t want people to comment you should not give us the opportunity by doing so much so public."
As well as telling that Katie is having a "breakdown", Francine also discussed the star's children, 13-year-old Junior and 11-year-old Princess, who moved in with their dad Peter Andre and his wife Emily last year.
Francine told the publication: "I know how difficult she finds it without her kids in the house but she wouldn't be in the position she's in if she didn't act the way she did.
"Katie has always been wild and liked to party but when you have kids you have to see what you look like in the public eye.
"She probably fears she's losing her looks and desperate to be seen as desirable again, but for her kids to see that behaviour it's embarrassing. It's not fair on them."
She also claimed that Katie has "never got over her heartache" of splitting from Peter, and that his new wife is "amazing".
Katie and Francine first met in 1998 when they were both working as models.

They were introduced by make-up artist Gary Cockerill, with Francine previously saying that they got on "really well" from the off.
In fact, Francine claimed that she helped Katie through her split from Dane Bowers, and was even there for the star when she welcomed her first child, Harvey, who was born in 2002 with multiple disabilities.
The pair were said to have "drifted apart" when Katie married Peter in 2005, with Francine wowing viewers in 2013 with her celebrity impressions - including ones of her famous pal.
