Spice Girls poke fun tour’s sound problems as fans say they could hear with ‘crystal clear clarity’ in Manchester
THE Spice Girls poked fun at their sound problems on tour last night as fans at their Manchester show praised the "crystal clear clarity".
The girls screamed "can you hear at the back?" at the MEN Arena after being dogged with complaints since the tour kicked off.
Fans even demanded refunds at their Cardiff show on Monday, but things have seemingly improved as last night ticket holders rushed to Twitter and praised the Manchester leg.
One fan wrote on Twitter: "Absolutely smashed it tonight no sound issues at all, they sounded incredible and it was an amazing show!
"Wish I could go again! Loved every second!"
Another remarked: "There have been reports of sound problems at previous shows but I can hear them crystal clear and they’re singing and rapping live"
Emma Bunton, 43, Geri, 45, Mel B, 44, and Mel C, 45, put on a defiant display that saw Scary Spice kiss Geri and threaten her on stage.
Referencing Geri's exit from the group back in May 1998, she screamed at her: "She left on my birthday and it's my birthday today.
"You better not leave tonight you f*****g b***h"
Now 21-years on, Geri led tributes to Mel on her 44th birthday on Instagram.
The mother-of-two wrote alongside a glittering snap of the star: "Happy Birthday Melanie! Have an amazing day x"
But just last month the tour was left in jeopardy when Mel told Piers Morgan that she'd slept with Geri during the Spice Girls' early days.
Geri and Mel appeared to fall out after Mel spoke up during a recording of Morgan's Life Stories.
Mel said: "We were best friends. It just happened. It wasn't a thing. It just happened.
"We just giggled at it and that was it. It just happens one time and then you talk about it and it does not really happen again. It was just that one time ..."
Days later, Geri issued a statement denying the liaison saying that she found the claims "very hurtful".
But the girls reunited for the first time since the bombshell when they attended rehearsals and put the blip behind them.
