Coronation Street’s Carla Connor will give Underworld away to the workers after psychotic breakdown
CARLA Connor is going to give away her share of Underworld when she returns to Coronation Street.
The factory boss - who is played by actress Alison King in the ITV soap - is currently being held under section in a specialist centre after suffering a psychotic breakdown over her guilt over Rana Habeeb's death.
Viewers know Gary Windass is actually responsible for the collapse and for Rana's death, but the residents of Weatherfield aren't aware of that.
But with Carla getting treatment for her mental health issues, she will soon return to Weatherfield on the mend.
And The Sun Online can reveal she will be desperate to make amends when she does make her cobbles comeback.
A source said: "It's going to be a long road to recovery for Carla after all she's been through.
"She returns to Weatherfield terrified of the reaction she will get and is desperate to try and make up for everything that has happened.
"She blames herself for the state the factory is in and takes drastic action to win back the trust of her team."
The insider added: "She's going to hand over her part of Underworld to the workers and turn it into a co-operative.
"It will mean that machinists like Beth, Sinead and Sally will own a piece of the business they have spent years working in."
