Susanna Reid confirms she’s single and reveals she trusts ‘pain in the bum’ Piers Morgan with lots of personal secrets

SUSANNA Reid has confirmed she's still single - and revealed she confides in "pain in the bum" Piers Morgan.

The GMB host, 48, said she trusts co-presenter Piers not to air her personal secrets - despite his constant ";teasing".

And she also quelled rumours spread by her cocksure colleague that she may have found a new love in her life.

Piers, 54, said recently that Susanna's “perky and happy face" meant that she was dating again.

His cheeky suggestion came after Piers brought up Susanna's split from Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish live on air.

But speaking to , mum-of-three Susanna said: "I’m single."

She added: "The irony of that was I’d gone to bed at 7.30pm the night before and had a really good night’s sleep. It was so ridiculous."

But despite her frustrations with co-host Piers, Susanna added that she trusts him with her most private confessions.

She said: "Piers is a complete wind up and a total pain in the backside.

"He constantly teases me and says I protest too much when people joke that we’re an old married couple."

Susanna added: “At the same time I also trust Piers with lots of secrets and personal stuff and I know that’s not going to appear on air.

"It’s just banter - as they’d say on Love Island.”

And dealing with Piers' daily ribbings for four years has helped Susanna gain a "thicker skin".

She also revealed that she "admires" her bolshie on-screen partner for his no-nonsense approach to presenting.

Susanna added: "Piers has taught me a lot. He trained the BBC neutrality out of me.

"There are still times when I think, ‘I shouldn’t say this’ but I’m more able to have an opinion about something.

"Whereas Piers will blunder in, say whatever the heck he likes and damn the consequences. And I kind of admire that.”
