Emmerdale spoilers: Village favourite shot as Max holds Jessie, April and Marlon Dingle hostage
An armed siege will leave a village favourite fighting for their life in Emmerdale next week as thug Max holds Jessie, April and Marlon Dingle hostage at Tall Trees cottage.
The terror begins to unfold when mad Max – who’s played by Jordan Reece in the ITV soap - runs through his plan to rob a van with Billy Fletcher.
Max issues his former prison-mate a stark warning not to mess things up this time.
When Billy and the other accomplice Woody get the go ahead text from Max, the police arrive and intercept the trio before they can rob the van.
Little does Max know that it was actually Billy who tipped them off.
Later Billy – Jay Kontzle - feels angry and let down when DS Sanders says the police can’t guarantee that Max won’t find out it was Billy who grassed.
Meanwhile, unknown to Billy, Max has already made his way to Tall Trees and is waiting ominously upstairs.
When Jessie, Marlon and little April all return home early from the village football match, Max appears. He dangerously flashes a gun and forces a terrified Jessie to call Billy. But when she does, it goes straight to voicemail.
Back at the football match, Billy eventually picks up the message and quickly dashes off, with brother Ellis in tow.
Billy quickly runs inside and comes face to face with Max who points the gun straight at him.

There’s a furious tussle between the men and before long the villagers hear a gunshot ring out while, at Tall Trees, someone has been hit and is fighting for their life.
So has Max exacted the ultimate revenge on Billy for his betrayal? Or has someone else ended up in the firing line for Billy’s cooperation with the police?
