James Argent banned ex Lydia Bright from talking about him and Gemma Collins after she branded him ‘an elephant’
LYDIA Bright has revealed that ex James Argent has banned her from talking about him – after a string of public disses.
The former Towie star, 29, dated Arg on-and-off for seven years until ending things for good in 2016 – and they've finally decided to stop talking about each other after she accidentally branded him an elephant.
Speaking to The Sun Online at Polo at the Manor sponsored by Motorpoint, she said: “Me and Arg have had these conversations - we obviously haven't been together for four years now - we get asked all the time and it always gets portrayed in the worst way.
“We can't win so we have just said moving forward we aren't going to talk about each other.”
Lydia, who was joined at the event in Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales by boyfriend Lee Cronin, added: “We don't really speak. We are not in regular contact. It’s just the best way not to speak about each other so we have just agreed we are not doing it anymore.”
Lydia ended up branding Arg as fat as an “elephant” after he was pictured eating a salad.
She appeared on Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast when he asked her what her two favourite animals are as part of a psychological test.
Lydia chose an angel fish and an elephant which he told her described her as a person and how she perceives her partner respectively.
She responded: “So what it’s an elephant? Big and round – maybe if I was still with Arg.”
She later slammed him as the "the GC's sidekick" after they came face-to-face once again on Good Morning Britain.
The crooner was asking Lydia about the second series of her family podcast, while claiming he'd been "too busy" to listen.
Lydia quipped: "Doing what? The Arg band? Being the GC's sidekick? Being her chaperone."
But despite their public break-ups and make-ups, she wouldn’t be averse to appearing on screen alongside him again in the future and admitted she’s up for a ten year Towie reunion, which is currently in talks.
“I think I would do it if it was all the originals like a reunion,” she said.
“If it was just a week or something but I just don't know if they would all come back now.”
And that’s not the only TV she’s considering – Lydia and Lee both admitted they wold love a Mummy Dairies style show when they start a family because it’s Lee’s favourite show.
She told us: “If I got the opportunity I would consider it. It could be an amazing thing and some of these things you get paid a massive amount of money.
“It is so silly because it could pay for all four kids to go to private school. I love Sam and Billie Faiers and its Lee's favourite show in the world.”
