Rumours of Mel B and Jess Glynne secret romance as pair get close on tour
MEL B has always been vocal about telling us what she wants – what she really, really wants.
And superfan-cum-support-act Jess Glynne discovered on tour that she was the latest object of desire, when the pair grew so close on the road that rumours started swirling they were dating.
A source told me: “Jess was a huge Spice Girls fan and pretty infatuated with Mel.
"So it was a bucket-list moment when she was asked to support the group.
“After they performed the gig in Manchester last month, Jess ended up partying with Mel in her dressing room until 7am.
“They became so close while on tour that there were whispers behind the scenes that they were having a secret romance. But Mel is adamant they’re just pals.”
Mel and Jess have enjoyed relationships with both men and women.
Jess’s debut album, I Cry When I Laugh, is said to be written following the end of her first long-term relationship with a girl.
Following the breakdown of her reportedly volatile marriage to Stephen Belafonte, it would not surprise me if Mel decided to steer clear of blokes for a while.
The source added: “Although there are 15 years between them, Mel and Jess discovered they were on a very similar wavelength.
“Both of them are straight-talking, and of course Mel enjoyed having her ego stroked by Jess, who made no secret of looking up to the girl power pioneers when she was a schoolgirl.”
The pull of Scary Spice was so strong that Jess was slapped with a lifetime ban from the Isle of Wight Festival for cancelling her headline slot the day after she supported Spice Girls on the last night of their tour at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Festival boss John Giddings said: “Unfortunately, Jess Glynne was unable to perform due to exhaustion.”
Meanwhile, Jess blamed anxiety and mental health charities slammed the decision to put the ban in place.
Hopefully Mel was on hand when it all became Too Much.
Jessie back in big-time
JESSIE J will be relieved her comeback has put her back in the millionaire league.
A while ago the singer’s company Who You Are Touring Ltd had just £921.
Now, after winning Chinese talent contest Singer last year, Jessie is sitting on a rather healthier £1.3million.
A source said: “Jessie knew it was a gamble being in Singer, particularly because she’s been a judge herself on The Voice, but was told it would be a huge money spinner.
“Not only is she now on the map across Asia but she’s had a profile boost at home too, so it was well worth it.”
Jessie, above out in London with fella Channing Tatum, now has something really worth getting in a spin over.
Khloe nose a secret
I WOULDN’T say no to miracle make-up some mornings after a heavy week of showbiz partying.
But even Khloe Kardashian’s fans aren’t convinced her KoKo Kollab range with sister Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line does what it says on the tin.
Khloe released these sexy snaps to tie in with the launch, then baffled followers with a radically different-looking nose on her social media channel, causing speculation she has had surgery.
Last year Khloe confessed she was considering a nose job, saying: “One day I think I’ll get one because I think about it every day.
“I’m scared for now so it’s all about contour.”
There’s more than a touch of Pinocchio about this.

NEARLY ten million of us were gripped by the final episode of Line Of Duty – just not Mo Farah.
The four-time Olympic gold medallist, and star of last weekend’s Soccer Aid on ITV, had no idea who his pitch rival Martin Compston was.
Asked if he was a fan of the BBC show, he asked me: “Call of Duty? Is it brilliant? Ah, don’t tell him [Martin], I’ll go and google it now. I can’t sit still – I don’t watch box sets.”
Private jet for Kate's pet pooch
KATE MOSS and her boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck flew their new dog on a private jet after they bought the pooch to seal their love.
The adorable Pomeranian was pictured on board the plane to France sitting in a canvas bag.
The pup, with Nikolai, appears delighted to be flying high in his own seat with an array of tomatoes, broccoli, carrots and corn to munch on.
Luckily their new pet missed the furore at the Dior show at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
German photographer Nikolai was caught on camera in an unseemly push and shove.
He had been mistaken for a fan by burly security guards who blocked his path, before an angry Nikolai pushed them aside and walked up to Kate and her 16-year-old daughter Lila, and accompanied them into the catwalk show.
Buzzing
TOY Story 4’s Tim Allen promises the latest instalment is a “very different Pixar movie.”
Tim, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, adds: “It’s heart-warming, a little tough but pays off. It brought up some of my own personal stuff about change.”

Britney mum Insta riddle
BRITNEY Spear’ bid to end her conservatorship – which sees dad Jamie have control over her life and finances – has taken took a new turn.
Her mum, Lynne, yesterday backed accusations the Toxic singer’s team were tampering with her daughter’s Instagram.
Fans flooded the site claiming positive comments were deliberately being deleted – despite this smiley new bikini shot being added.
Lynne replied to one saying one of her posts had gone missing and “none of it is in order”.
She added: “I have had others say the same.”
Britney’s reps denied they were promoting negative statements or deleting positive posts.
Since her mental health facility stint in April, a #FreeBritney campaign was started to release her from the conservatorship.
