Anna Gunn was brought up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA after he parents relocated the family from Cleveland, Ohio in the late seventies.
According to her bio on IMDB she took up acting in a drama class at the Santa Fe Preparatory School before continuing her education at Northweastern University’s theatre department.
Since her days of study, Anna has worked in television, film and theatre.

Anna’s television role, playing Martha Bullock in HBO’s Deadwood was what propelled her to stardom.
Her television credits also include Six Feet Under, ER, Boston Legal, Law & Order, Seinfeld and The Practice.

Anna and Alastair Duncan, a British actor who has voiced countless video games, were married from 1990 to 2009.
