Now the hit Welsh noir thriller is back for a second season. Here's all you need to know.

When is Keeping Faith back on TV?
After almost a year of waiting, Keeping Faith is FINALLY back for it's second series.
You can catch the action on July 23, 2019, from 9pm on BBC One.
Just like with Killing Eve, the series will also be available to watch as a box set on BBC iPlayer after its TV premiere too.

What can you expect from Keeping Faith series two?
Season two picks up 18 months after the events of series one, when Faith's husband, Evan, went missing.
This time Faith is drawn into a new mystery as she takes on the case of Madlen Vaughan, a local farmer accused of murdering her husband in cold blood.
The murder trial, the prospect of Evan’s imminent release from prison, and her conflicted emotions towards former criminal Steve Baldini push her to breaking point.
She puts her children, her business and her life on the line to search for the truth and finally emerges scarred yet stronger.

Which cast are returning for Keeping Faith series two?
Many of the cast from season one are back for a second offering:
- Eve Myles as Faith Howells - Eve of course returns as the lead role. Other than Keeping Faith, the Welsh actress is known for Broadchurch and A Very English Scandal.
- Mark Lewis Jones as Steve Baldini - The Welsh actor is best known for starring alongside Ruth Jones in Stella and more recently in the acclaimed Chernobyl.
- Bradley Freegard as Evan Howells - Bradley not only plays Faith's husband Evan, but he is also Eve's husband in real life. Bradley is also known for being the first Welsh actor to land a role in EastEnders, when he played Gethin Williams in 2012.
- Aneirin Hughes as Tom Howells - The actor has had roles in EastEnders and Coronation Street.
- Hannah Daniel as Cerys Jones - Hannah is also back for the second series. You may recognise her from Holby City as she had a reccurring role on the BBC hospital drama in 2018.
- Lacey Jones as Megan Howells - Young Lacey made a mark when she starred in the first series as Faith's daughter.
- Demi Letherby as Alys Howells - Demi plays Faith's other daughter, who was just 9 years old in the first series. Keeping Faith is her only role so far, but judging by her acting skills, she is likely to be seen more on TV.
They will be joined by new cast members Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Madlen Vaughan, Rhashan Stone as DI Laurence Breeze and Baptiste actress Anastasia Hille who plays Gael Reardon.

How popular was season one of Keeping Faith?
The series was first broadcast only on BBC Wales in November 2017 and attracted the highest audience for a non-network drama shown in the country for over two decades.
All episodes were then available to watch on the BBC iPlayer from April 2018 and it again broke records with over 9.5million requests to view.
The series eventually went out on telly in August 2018.
Keeping Faith marks the first series that an original BBC Wales drama has been shown on the BBC One network.
Filming for the show mainly took place in Carmarthenshire in South West Wales.
