STRICTLY Come Dancing is returning to our TV screens with just ONE more contestant left to be revealed for this year’s line-up.

But when can we expect the next official announcement? We have the lowdown…

When will the next Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestant be announced?

The fourteenth contestant for Strictly 2019, James Cracknell, was announced on GMB today (August 7, 2019).

The next one will also be revealed later today – but a specific time is unknown.

Most of the announcements have been made via BBC platforms, such as The One show and BBC Radio stations.

Which stars have been confirmed so far for Strictly Come Dancing 2019?

The confirmed star line-up includes:

  • James CrackenllJames, 47, is a Olympic gold medallist and rowing champ
  • Dev GriffinDev, 34, is a radio DJ known for being on Radio One.
  • Alex ScottAlex, 31, is a former footballer-turned-sports pundit.
  • Jamie LaingJamie, 30 is a reality star known for Made In Chelsea.
  • Will BayleyWill, 31, is a Paralympic Table Tennis Olympic gold medallist.
  • Michelle VisageMichelle, 50, is famed for being a judge of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
  • Viscountess Weymouth Emma ThynnEmma, 33, is an English chef and model who is married to Ceawlin Thynn, the son of Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath.
  • Karim ZeroualKarim,  19, is a children’s TV presenter but began his career as an actor, starring in CBBC’s fantasy series The Sparticle Mystery.
  • Mike BushellMike, 53 is a BBC Breakfast sports presenter known for his on-air gaffs.
  • Catherine TyldesleyCatherine, 35 is a former Coronation Street actress.
  • Saffron BarkerSaffron is a 19-year-old YouTube star from Brighton.
  • Emma BartonEmma, 42, is best known for her role as Honey Mitchell in EastEnders.
  • Chris RamseyChris, 32, is a regular on stand-up and panel shows as well as hosts his own comedy show.
  • David James – The football star, 49, played for clubs including Liverpool, West Ham and Man City over a 26 year career.

When is the Strictly Come Dancing launch show?

The Strictly Come Dancing launch show will be pre-recorded on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Elstree Studios.

Celebrity contestants will find out which professional dancer they are going to be paired with for the duration of the competition.

The launch show also involves a group dance showcase between the celebrities and professionals, as well as live music from a number of special guests.

Dancing pro Motsi Mabuse will begin her role as a judge – replacing Darcey Bussell for the 17th series.

When can I watch Strictly Come Dancing 2019?

Strictly Come Dancing is returning for its 17th series on BBC One in September 2019.

It kicks off with the red carpet launch on Monday, August 26, 2019.

The series premiere will follow shortly after, but a date is yet to be confirmed.

The main show will air live on Saturday evenings with the results the following day on Sundays.

In July 2019 it was revealed Motsi Mabuse will be joining the judging panel of Shirley BallasBruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood.

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly return as the presenting duo, with Rylan Clark-Neal confirmed as host of Strictly: It Takes Two alongside Zoe Ball.
