A Peaky Blinders Festival is coming to Birmingham this September and here’s how you can get tickets

BY the order of the Peaky Blinders, there’s going to be a Peaky Blinders Festival this September and it sounds amazing.

The immersive spectacular will combine music, immersive theatre, fashion, a museum and much more, and is a must go for any self respecting Peaky Blinders fan.

The festival will take place on the 14 and 15 September, and tickets go on general sale at 10am on the 9 August, from , , and GIGANTIC.

Show creator Steven Knight has co-created the festival, and he’s booked some big names.

Over the two days, they’ve booked huge bands such as Primal Scream, Anna Calvi – who created the score for the new series, Slaves and Nadine Shah as well as appearances from cast members, and special guests.

You can also find David Beckham’s Peaky Blinders inspired fashion collaboration from label Kent & Curwen, as well as poetry, book slams, and immersive theatre with over 200 actors.

The festival expects 20,000 fans a day to enter the world of the Peaky Blinders, now a huge global phenomenon as the show goes into it’s fifth series.

Show creator Steve Knight said: “It is with enormous pleasure that I announce the first ever Legitimate Peaky Blinders festival, which is happening in the streets and alleys of Digbeth, Birmingham on Saturday  14th and Sunday 15th of September.

“It will be a festival of live music, performance, poetry, immersive theatre and experiences which will celebrate the swagger of the men and women who walked these same Digbeth streets one hundred years ago.

“Along with the music line up, we have the world-famous Ballet Rambert performing a specially written and choreographed Peaky Blinders ballet.

“There will be fashion shows, street food, pop ups and bars including a reimagined Garrison Tavern.

“We will be celebrating in Birmingham style and everyone from around the world is invited.

“Expect the unexpected, expect 1919 to come crashing into 2019 and, be assured, everything is officially by order of the Peaky Blinders…”

The trailer for Season 5 has just been released , but despite the first episode of Series 5 having already been shown at a private screening in Birmingham there’s still no official start date from the BBC.
