Mark Wright’s fears as ex Lauren Goodger drags up their doomed engagement on Celebs Go Dating
MARK Wright is worried that his ex-fiancee Lauren Goodger will discuss their doomed engagement on Celebs Go Dating.
Lauren, 32, is one of the latest celebs to join the agency in the new series of the E4 show, which launches tonight.
She has been famously unlucky-in-love since splitting from 32-year-old Mark, who she was with between 2001 and 2012.
Much of their romance was documented on reality series The Only Way Is Essex, and the hunk now fears that the rocky relationship will hit the headlines again as Lauren tells all to CGD agents Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson.
Lauren exclusively told The Sun Online: "I do talk about Mark and what we went through.
"We were together for 12-years of my life. He will always be a huge part of my life.
"Both our careers started off being on TOWIE together.
"I am happy for him and I am sure he's happy for me. But our relationship kind of made me who I am, and vice versa."
But a source revealed that Mark has concerns about the past being brought back up, sharing: "Mark is worried about his past relationship with Lauren being dragged up again.
"He would prefer it to remain in the past rather than being splashed over the headlines again.
"He doesn't have any bad feelings towards Lauren but he moved on a long time ago with [wife] Michelle.
"He's loved up with Michelle and is privately terrified of what Lauren is going to bring up and say about their failed romance."
The Sun Online have contacted Mark's rep for comment.
Lauren and Mark first started dating as teenagers, and became one of the nation's favourite couples as the focus of Towie when the series launched in 2010.
The pair got engaged in March 2011, but Mark called off the engagement in August of the same year following claims that she had cheated on him.
After they split, Mark found love with Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan in December 2012.
They got engaged the following September, and married in May 2015.
