'EL OF A SHOCK

Emmerdale spoilers: Ellis Chapman horrified as his long lost dad Al stalks him around the village

THERE'S a huge shock coming up for Ellis Chapman in Emmerdale next week when he discovers his long-lost dad, Al, is stalking him.

Following a drunken outburst from Jessie Dingle in The Woolpack, Ellis – played by Asan N’gie - is with his mum and her husband, Marlon, as they head home.

But unknown to the group, someone is watching them from afar.

The next day Ellis is shocked when a potential client turns out to be the mysterious figure. And it’s one heck of a blast from the past.

Later, at April’s birthday party, Ellis tries to talk to Jessie – played by Sandra Marvin - about his earlier meeting. Their conversation is cut short though when they’re interrupted by a
car horn and Ellis storms outside.

Jessie then reveals to Marlon that the mystery man is Al, Ellis’ dad.

But why has he turned up now? And will anyone be pleased to see him?

It was revealed last month that former Harry Potter actor Michael Wildman would be joining the ITV soap.

The actor played a CRI agent alongside Matt Damon in The Bourne Ultimatum and appeared in the Steven Spielberg sci-fi film Ready Player One but now he is joining the ITV soap as Ellis' dad Al.

He said: "I don’t know who’s more excited about me joining Emmerdale, myself or my Mum!

Michael, who will be on screen from next month, said: "I’m seriously looking forward to joining the Emmerdale family.

"On paper Al Chapman will be a dream to play for any actor and with the help of the current cast I look forward to him mixing things up in the village and for myself, bringing him to life."
