The factory went up in flames in Emmerdale last week, taking the life of worker Frank Clayton. And since then fingers of suspicion have started to point towards the Sharma family, who have been in financial crisis since Rishi bailed out new wife, Manpreet, from her debts.

Rishi has already taken a huge loan with crazy interest rates from Kim, before the blaze.

And Kim – played by Claire King in the ITV soap - will take advantage of her knowledge of the family’s dire financial situation when she offers to by the ruins of the factory from Jai.
But will he agree?

Jai - Chris Bisson - and sister Priya have become more and more suspicious that their dad and his new wife were responsible for the blaze.

And Jai has been left livid after reading the terms of Kim’s loan and discovering the insane interest rates she offered desperate Rishi, Jai has been left reeling, even berating the factory staff when they asked about their wages.

And when he receives an email from the insurance company questioning why the fire alarm was switched off when the blaze broke out, he’s beyond figuring out how the family will get through this.

Kim wastes no time taunting him about the horrible situation and Jai feels forced to meet with her to discuss the situation.
But what will he do when they meet secretly? Will he sell his soul to the devil?

Emmerdale fans were left shocked last night when grieving Tracy Metcalfe slapped her half-sister Vanessa Woodfield when the vet suggested their dad, Frank, was responsible for starting the fire.

His death lead to the police and the villagers questioning why he was in the factory considering he'd just been fired by Jai earlier in the day.

Last night Vanessa told her grieving sister they had to face the fact Frank could have been the culprit behind the fire.

She asked Tracy: "Why do you reckon dad was in there? What was so urgent that he had to get in then?

"Tracy, we have to consider that he did."

But Tracy was furious at the suggestion, insisting their dad was a hero not an arsonist.

She cried: "Of course he didn't Vanessa, you can't possibly think that?! He was our dad!"

As they stood in front of each other, Vanessa pointed out: "I don't want to but he'd lost his job, he was angry and he was gunning for Jai, he was broken and he had form.

"I get that you need somebody else to blame like I did with you but it's wrong.

"The only person to blame for dad's death, was dad."

In that moment, Tracy slapped Vanessa across the face before bursting into tears.
