Will Amy and Kerry Wyatt go to prison in Emmerdale? The mum and daughter caused the factory fire
EMMERDALE'S Kerry and Amy Wyatt landed themselves in a whole load of hot water when they accidentally started a fire in the Sharma sweet factory.
Not only did the factory burn to the ground, but it cost Frank Clayton his life as he bravely saved his daughter Tracy Metcalfe who was trapped in the burning building.
Fingers of suspicion are already being pointed towards Rishi and Manpreet Sharma, who were suffering financial difficulties before the blaze, and Frank himself who was less than happy about getting the boot from his job in the Emmerdale factory.
But are the real culprits going to get way with it? Let’s find out…
As we know, in Soap Land, every crime must have a punishment so it’s only a matter of time before Amy and Kerry’s secret comes to light.
They may not have intended to set fire to the factory and they definitely didn’t expect to kill anyone, but their actions still caused Frank’s death. And his daughters, Tracy and Vanessa, will be at the front of the queue to make sure the Wyatts pay, when
they’re eventually caught out.
Amy – who’s played by Natalie Ann Jamieson - and Kerry – Laura Norton - didn’t set the factory on fire, but they accidentally started the blaze when they broke into the safe and stole the money from Bernice Blackstock’s fundraiser.
They also went back in, this time to erase the CCTV that showed their crime, which is when the fire accidentally started.
Kerry has already been questioned by the police because she was one of the first people at the scene. And she was the one who suggested that Frank may have been responsible for the blaze.
It’s very possible that either Kerry, Amy or both of them could end up going to prison.

At the moment, there hasn’t been any announcement from either Laura or Natalie that their characters are leaving, but
Emmerdale hasn’t been utilising that prison set very much recently.
It’s fair to say that Kerry won’t be very popular when her secret is finally revealed at some point.
Frank’s daughters and girlfriend, Megan Macey, will be baying for her blood. As will Bernice, all the factory workers – who find their jobs in danger next week – and the Sharma clan who have lost their livelihood.
If Kerry and Amy don’t find themselves up on a manslaughter charge, they will probably be shunned from the village.
